And for sister missionaries, lowering the min age by 2 years will cause a large percentage increase of sister missionaries over the long term too.

I believe the age change is inspired, especially the 2 year change for sisters. So MAYBE this age change is a hint that the Lord foresaw Romney winning.

If/when Romney wins, I bet that a noticeable spike in US converts will be seen before the end of 2013. It's going to be a challenge for many wards to assimilate the influx, in those wards that only have zero, one or two convert baptisms per year.

Gear up folks. Here come the "Romney converts".Bookslingerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15077778974473538408noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7139169.post-86517529822715674642012-11-06T12:59:02.224-06:002012-11-06T12:59:02.224-06:00I thought that we would see a lot more antimormoni...I thought that we would see a lot more antimormonism during the campaign, but there's been very little. I wouldn't worry too much about antimormonism during a Romney presidency. The question I have is whether Mormons are ready to become more "mainstream." What might that entail? I think that he is a good man, and fiscally conservative, and we need both of those. What I am afraid of is his nationalist rhetoric. I am afraid he will be another Smoot. Smoot was the first Mormon senator, the senate refused to seat him, there were hearings, he overcame the prejudice and went on to the infamy of co-sponsering the Smoot-Hawley tariff that ushered in the Great Depression. I am afraid that a poor showing, and especially the economic damage from 'cracking down' on 'cheap' imports from, say, China will reflect badly on the church.Andrea Clarkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12652919466727117834noreply@blogger.com
